Nintendo Museum Terms and Conditions
Established on June 1, 2024
You must agree to these Nintendo Museum terms and conditions (hereinafter, referred to as “Terms”) in order to use the Nintendo Museum ticketing service (hereinafter, referred to as “Ticketing Service”) and the Nintendo Museum (not only the building but also the entire area managed by Nintendo Co., Ltd. where the facility is located; hereinafter, referred to as the “Facility”; hereinafter, the Ticketing Service and the use of the Facility are collectively referred to as the “Services”). These Terms shall be agreed upon by you and Nintendo Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, referred to as the “Nintendo”) and apply to you when using the Services, unless Nintendo separately stipulates specific terms of use.
If you are a minor, you cannot agree to these Terms on your own. Please be sure that your legal representative, such as your guardian or parental authority, agrees to these Terms.
In agreeing to these Terms, please read all the provisions of these Terms. These Terms include the Nintendo Museum Privacy Policy.
#1. Definitions
The following terminology is defined in these Terms as follows:
- Use of "you" refers to the person agreeing to these Terms.
- "Ticket" refers to the admission ticket required to enter the Facility.
- "Ticketing Website" refers to the website for purchasing and confirming Tickets on the official website of the Facility.
- "Ticketing Service User" refers to the person using the Ticketing Service.
- "Facility User" refers to people visiting and using the Facility.
- "Guest" refers to a person who the Ticketing Service User enters as a visitor when signing up to purchase a Ticket or enter a drawing (excluding the Ticketing Service User).
- "Distribution" refers to the action by which the Ticketing Service User assigns a Ticket to a Guest on the Ticketing Website.
- "Non-Ticket-Holding Facility User" refers to a Facility User who visits the Facility without being assigned a Ticket from the Ticketing Service User via the usual method of Distribution.
- "Measures such as suspension of use" refers to measures such as the suspension or restriction of the use of all or part of the Services. This includes denying you entry or access to the Facility, asking you to leave the Facility, invalidating your Tickets, refusing your use of individual exhibits or services within the Facility, and refusing any future transactions between you and Nintendo.
[Use of the Ticketing Service]
#2. Terms and ConditionsThis Ticketing Service is a part of Nintendo Account services so a Nintendo Account is required for use thereof. To use the Ticketing Service, create a Nintendo Account.
#3. Ticket Drawing Entry and Purchase
(1) Ticketing Service Users can purchase Tickets from Nintendo by using the Ticketing Service. Furthermore, a drawing may be held prior to the time of purchase.
(2) If the Ticketing Service User wishes to purchase a Ticket, the user shall sign up in accordance with the method specified by Nintendo.
(3) A drawing-entry contract or a purchase contract shall be established between the Ticketing Service User and Nintendo either at the time the entry-completion screen of the drawing registration is displayed (in instances where a drawing will be held after the application set forth in the preceding paragraph) or at the time the purchase-completion screen is displayed (in instances where a Ticket is purchased).
(4) Once a drawing-entry contract is established, the entry can be canceled if it is during the entry period of that drawing-entry contract. In addition, the date and time of the visit subject to the drawing-entry contract cannot be changed. To change the requested date and time of the visit after the drawing entry has been submitted, the existing entry must be canceled, and a new drawing entry for the desired date and time must be submitted.
(5) Even if selected during a drawing, you will not be able to obtain Tickets unless the purchase price of the Ticket is paid by the deadline specified by Nintendo.
#4. Payment Method at the Time of Ticket Purchase
Tickets will be paid by the payment method specified at the time of purchase.
#5. Canceling or Changing Tickets
5.1 Purchased Tickets can only be canceled if all of the following requirements are met and not otherwise:
(1) You are trying to cancel before the scheduled date and time of visit.
(2) The QR code has not been issued or viewed on the Ticketing Website.
(3) If there are any Guest Tickets, the Tickets have not been distributed to the Guests.
(4) If a preschooler Ticket or a child Ticket will remain after cancellation, at least one adult Ticket will also remain.
Please note that if additional payment is required due to the cancellation of a portion of the purchased tickets, the cancellation can only be processed by visiting the Facility.
Preschooler tickets cannot be canceled without also cancelling the associated adult ticket purchased for the parent or guardian.
5.2 If the museum is closed at Nintendo's discretion, Nintendo may propose an alternative date of visit, cancel the purchased Tickets on the applicable date, or refund the Tickets accordingly.
5.3 You cannot change the terms and conditions of purchased Tickets (date and time of visit, Ticket type, Guests, names, etc.) unless otherwise notified by Nintendo.
#6. Presenting Tickets
Tickets will be displayed on the Ticketing Website. Purchased Tickets can be viewed on the Ticketing Website once payment is completed; however, the QR code required to enter the Facility can only be viewed from the date and time indicated in the email sent after the purchase is completed, or on the Ticketing Website.
#7. Ticket Distribution and Management
7.1 At the time of Ticket purchase and drawing entry, the name information, etc. of the Ticketing Service User and their Guests must be entered. Tickets cannot be assigned via Distribution to anyone other than the Guests entered. In addition, in order to assign Tickets via Distribution, the person to whom the Tickets are to be assigned must have a Nintendo Account.
7.2 You are responsible for managing the Tickets you purchased.
#8. Using the Tickets
8.1 A Ticket cannot be used by any person other than the Ticketing Service User and the Guest indicated on the Ticket. If asked to show ID to verify your identity when entering the Facility, you must do so.
8.2 An internet-connected smartphone or tablet is required to use the Ticket. Please display the QR code of the Ticket from the Ticketing Website and present it at the security gate when entering the Facility.
8.3 Tickets are only valid on the date of admission indicated on the Ticket.
#9. Non-Ticket-Holding Facility User's Acceptance of These Terms
The Ticketing Service User shall obtain consent to these Terms before using the Facility from the Non-Ticket-Holding Facility User who was entered as a Guest at the time of Ticket purchase or drawing-entry submission.

#10. Precautions for Use of the FacilityWhen using the Facility, the Facility User must comply with these Terms, as well as the precautions listed in the Facility and on the official website of the Facility, along with the precautions mentioned by Nintendo and the Facility management staff. Before visiting this Facility, please check the Facility usage rules and visit the Facility upon agreement therewith.
#11. Guide to the Facility
11.1 The terms of use and business contents of each Facility and each service in the Facility will be displayed across the Facility and announced on the official website of the Facility, etc.
11.2 The terms of use and business contents of each feature and service within the Facility are subject to change without notice.
11.3 In order to use some features and services within the Facility, a reservation or credit card payment may be required before or on the day of your visit.
11.4 The payment methods available for each feature and service within the Facility may vary.
#12. Business Days and Hours
Information on the business days, business hours, and downtime of each feature within the Facility will be communicated through the Facility's official website. In addition, information on emergency closures will also be announced through the Facility's official website, so please be sure to check before visiting the Facility.
#13. Visiting the Facility
13.1 Facility users will be able to enter the Facility on the scheduled visit date and time stated on the Ticket. However, if it becomes necessary due to unavoidable circumstances such as ensuring the safety of Facility users, admission may be temporarily restricted. In addition, a Facility User may not reenter the Facility after exiting.
13.2 Facility users with a preschooler ticket or a child ticket must be accompanied by an adult to enter the facility.
#14. Observance of Facility Use Rules
The Facility User shall comply with the Facility User rules when using the Facility. In addition, whether or not an item falls under the prohibited items listed in the Facility User rules shall be judged by Nintendo from the perspective of the operation of the Facility.
#15. Security Inspection
15.1 Upon entering the Facility, Nintendo requires each Facility User to undergo a baggage inspection, confirmation of clothes worn, and a security inspection by a metal detector (hereinafter, collectively referred to as a "Security Inspection"). You must comply with the Security Inspection, or you may be denied entry into the Facility or not allowed to bring in your baggage.
15.2 You may be denied entry or be asked to leave the building if your clothing (including hats, shoes, and accessories) is prohibited by the Facility User rules.

#16. Use of the Services16.1 You shall use the Services in accordance with these Terms and other terms determined by Nintendo.
16.2 Should you incur any expenses or taxes necessary to use the Services, such as communication costs, equipment purchase costs, or electricity charges, you shall bear such expenses or taxes.
16.3 Depending on certain conditions, such as the registration information (your age and country) and the information/communication tools available to you, the content of the Services available to you may be limited in part.
#17. Prohibitions
17.1 You are prohibited from transferring or reselling Tickets to a third party. However, this does not apply when the Ticketing Service User transfers the Tickets to a Guest entered at the time of Ticket purchase or drawing-entry submission in the manner specified by Nintendo.
17.2 In using the Services, you must not personally or via a third party perform any act that falls under or is likely to fall under any of the following items:
(1) Acts that violate these Terms and other commitments between Nintendo and you
(2) Use of another customer's Nintendo Account
(3) Registering or providing false information
(4) Acts that violate or facilitate laws, court decisions, rulings or orders, or legally binding administrative measures
(5) Acts that violate public orders and morals or harm good morals
(6) Unauthorized use, forgery, or modification of Tickets
(7) Unauthorized admission to the Facility
(8) Use of unauthorized payment methods
(9) Sale and display of goods, etc. and provision of services within the Facility
(10) Bringing in dangerous goods (including knives, weapons, flammables of gunpowder, drugs other than general pharmaceuticals, imitations thereof, etc.) to the Facility
(11) Bringing in anything that may cause harm or inconvenience to other customers (including things that cause noise or odor) to the Facility
(12) Defamation, fraud, threats, or obstruction of business against Nintendo, other customers, or other third parties
(13) Acts of nuisance, harassment, or other mental or economic harm to Nintendo, other customers, or other third parties
(14) Acts that infringe upon or damage the intellectual property rights, image rights, privacy rights, reputation, credibility, or other rights or interests of Nintendo, other customers, or other third parties
(15) Acts that interfere with, interrupt, destroy, or restrict the normal operation or function of the Services, such as acts that induce or use bugs and malfunctions in various content related to the Services, acts aimed at reverse engineering and other acts such as analyzing source code, etc.
(16) Acts of placing an excessive burden on Nintendo's servers, etc.
(17) Acts of manipulating the Services, such as using bots, cheat tools, and other technical means
(18) Acts that interfere with the smooth operation of the Services, such as unauthorized access to Nintendo's or a third party's system, or unauthorized alteration or deletion of information accumulated on Nintendo's or a third party's equipment
(19) Advertising, endorsing, or solicitation (except those specifically authorized by Nintendo)
(20) Acts aimed at obtaining profits in connection with the Services in a manner unintended by Nintendo
(21) Provision of benefits to Antisocial Forces, etc.
(22) Impersonation of Nintendo, other customers, or other real or fictitious third parties
(23) Criminal acts and criminal notices, criminal guides, and other acts that induce crime
(24) Acts that violate requests, orders, and coercive measures made by Nintendo
(25) Other acts deemed inappropriate by Nintendo
#18. Handling Your Information
Nintendo will handle any information you provide to us in connection with your use of the Services in accordance with the Nintendo Museum Privacy Policy.
#19. Using a Nintendo Account
Your use of the Services may be limited in whole or in part by measures such as suspension of your Nintendo Account or by the setting or status of your Nintendo Account. Nintendo is not responsible for any disadvantages or damages caused to you by such restrictions.
#20. Intellectual Property Rights
20.1 You acknowledge that Nintendo and third parties that have granted licenses to Nintendo retain and have the right to use all copyrights (including the rights set forth in Articles 27 and 28 of the Copyright Act and the same shall apply hereinafter), moral rights, patent rights, trademark rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Services and other similar rights (including the rights, title, and interests of Nintendo or third parties in trade names, product names, or service marks; hereinafter, unless otherwise specified, simply referred to as "Intellectual Property Rights").
20.2 Nintendo authorizes you to use the various contents related to the Services to the extent necessary to use the Services in accordance with the provisions of Article 16. However, we do not assign or grant to you any proprietary rights similar to those that you may freely use, profit from, or dispose of.
20.3 Even if a trademark, logo, service mark, etc. is displayed on the Services, Nintendo does not transfer such trademarks, etc. to you or other third parties, and does not authorize the use thereof.
#21. Measures such as Suspension of Use
21.1 If Nintendo determines that the customer falls under or is likely to fall under any of the following items, Nintendo may, at its discretion, take measures against you, such as suspending the use of Tickets, without any notice. In addition, if Nintendo takes measures such as suspension of use thereof, Tickets will not be refunded.
(1) In the event of a violation of these Terms, etc.
(2) In the event of a delay or default in the performance of obligations to Nintendo.
(3) In the event you are a minor, an adult ward, a person under curatorship, or an assisted person and has not obtained the consent and others of a legal representative, guardian, curator, or support personnel.
(4) In the event there is no response for more than 30 days to communications requesting an inquiry or other response from Nintendo.
(5) In the event of any interaction or involvement with Antisocial Forces, etc., such as cooperating or participating in the maintenance, operation, or management of Antisocial Forces, etc. through funding or other methods.
(6) In the event it is necessary for the operation or maintenance of the Services.
(7) In the event you engage in acts deemed inappropriate by Nintendo.
21.2 If Nintendo determines that you fall under or are likely to fall under any of the items of the preceding paragraph, or if Nintendo deems it necessary, Nintendo may request you to cease the act or delete or correct the information sent or posted voluntarily, and you shall respond to said request within the period specified by Nintendo.
21.3 Nintendo is not responsible for any disadvantages or damages caused to you by measures such as suspension of use.
21.4 Even if measures such as suspension of use are taken, you are not exempt from any obligations under these Terms (including liability for damages) to Nintendo or third parties.
21.5 Nintendo may retain and use the information provided by you to Nintendo even if measures such as suspension of use are taken.
#22. Customer Responsibilities
You shall be obliged to promptly compensate Nintendo for any disadvantages or damages caused to Nintendo with respect to the use of the Services based on reasons attributable to you, such as a violation of these Terms.
#23. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
23.1 You acknowledge the matters listed in the following items:
(1) Content and any other information provided through the Services is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind and Nintendo makes no warranty with respect to such information that it is free from errors, bugs, defects, or security flaws, that it does not infringe the rights of third parties, that it has the nature and commercial value expected by the Customer, and that it complies with the laws, regulations, or internal rules applicable to you.
(2) Nintendo is not responsible for any disadvantages or damages incurred by you using the Services.
(3) Nintendo is not responsible for any disadvantages or damages caused by unauthorized access to data, such as disruptions, delays, discontinuations, or deletions of the Services caused by failures in communication lines or computer systems.
(4) If a dispute arises between you and a third party with respect to the Services, you must notify Nintendo and resolve it at your own risk and expense, with no obligation or liability on our part for any involvement in such dispute.
23.2 Notwithstanding the foregoing and other provisions of these Terms (including, without limitation, articles 19, 21.3, 24.3, 25.3, 27.2, and 28), Nintendo shall be liable for damages in the event damages incurred in connection with the Services as a result of Nintendo's default or tort. However, except in the event of intent or gross negligence on the part of Nintendo, Nintendo shall not be responsible for any damages beyond those normally expected to be incurred, even if Nintendo is aware of the possibility of disadvantages or damages.
23.3 If Nintendo is liable for damages pursuant to the preceding paragraph, the maximum amount shall be 10,000 yen. However, this shall not apply if Nintendo is willful or grossly negligent.
#24. Service Changes and Interruptions
24.1 Nintendo may modify or add to the Services, in whole or in part, without prior notice to you.
24.2 If any of the following events occur, Nintendo may temporarily suspend all or part of the Services without prior notice to you:
(1) In the event the server of the Services is overloaded or fails due to excessive access or other factors.
(2) When performing regular or emergency maintenance or repairs related to the operation of the Services.
(3) In the event the services of the telecommunications carrier are not provided.
(4) In the event the provision of the Services becomes difficult or is anticipated to become difficult due to an accident such as fire, power outage, a force majeure such as a natural disaster, or bad weather.
(5) In the event operation of the Services becomes impossible due to laws and regulations, etc.
(6) Other cases in which Nintendo determines that suspension is necessary in accordance with the preceding items.
24.3 Except as provided in Article 5.2, Nintendo is not responsible for any disadvantages or damages caused to you by any action under this Article.
#25. Changes to These Terms
25.1 Nintendo may change these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms shall be posted on the official website of the Facility and shall take effect from the time such posting is made. When using the Services, please check the latest Terms from time to time.
25.2 Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, if Nintendo deems it necessary, the revised Terms shall be posted on the official website of the Facility or Nintendo's website in advance and the revised Terms shall become effective from the time when they are notified in advance.
25.3 Nintendo is not responsible for any disadvantages or damages caused to you by changes to these Terms.
#26. End of Service
We may, at our discretion, discontinue the provision of the Services and terminate these Terms with all our customers by notifying customers in advance by posting on the Facility's official website or on Nintendo's website or in any other manner we deem appropriate.
#27. Measures in case of termination of the Services
27.1 Upon termination of the Services, you will not be able to use any information about the Services, except as specified by Nintendo.
27.2 Nintendo is not responsible for any disadvantages or damages caused to you due to the termination of the Services. You must acknowledge that by terminating the Services, you waive any and all claims for disadvantages or damages to you or any third party.
27.3 Even if the Services are terminated, you are not exempt from any obligations under these Terms (including liability for damages) to Nintendo or third parties.
27.4 Notwithstanding the termination of the Services, we may continue to process your information, in which case your information shall be handled in accordance with the Nintendo Museum Privacy Policy, which shall remain in force in accordance with Articles 17 to 20, 22, 23, 27 to 32 of these Terms and the Nintendo Museum Privacy Policy.
#28. Notifications
28.1 When we notify, inquire about, accept or otherwise contact you about the Services, we will do so by posting it on the official website of the Facility or on Nintendo website. From time to time, we may send such notices, consent, or other communications to features provided by the Services or to your email address registered with your Nintendo Account. Any communication from Nintendo shall be deemed as having reached you by posting or sending such communication, and Nintendo shall not be responsible for any disadvantages or damages to you arising from the failure or delay of such communication for any reason whatsoever.
28.2 Should you wish to notify, consent to, or otherwise contact us with respect to the Services, you must do so by contacting us as indicated on this website. Any communication from you shall be deemed as having been completed once received by Nintendo, and we shall not be responsible for any disadvantages or damages to you arising from the failure or delay of such communication for any reason whatsoever.
#29. Prohibition of Transferring Rights
Except as specifically provided in these Terms, you may not assign, lend, or otherwise dispose of your position as a party to these Terms or your rights and obligations under these Terms for any reason regardless of it being paid or free of charge.
#30. Separation Clause
Should any provision of these Terms be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, no other provision of these Terms shall be invalid or unenforceable. Should any provision of these Terms be deemed invalid or unenforceable by a court, such provision shall be interpreted in a limited manner to the extent necessary as to be valid and enforceable.
#31. Language
These Terms are written in Japanese and translated into other languages, including English; however, in the event of any inconsistencies between the Japanese and translations, the provisions provided in Japanese shall apply.
#32. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
32.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
32.2 For any disputes between Nintendo and you arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the Kyoto District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance.
